Concept Engineering Nlview Widget Software now available for 64-bit Solaris and HP-UX platforms

GUI building blocks for EDA products shorten design cycles, lower development and maintenance costs

Freiburg, Germany – May 31, 2000 – Concept Engineering has announced that its Nlview Widget software components are now available for use in Sun Microsystems 64-bit Solaris operating environment, and in Hewlett-Packard Company's HP-UX 11 64-bit UNIX computing platform. Concept's GUI building blocks will enable 64-bit EDA systems to handle the most complex designs more quickly and reliably, enabling electronic design engineers to shorten design cycles.

"By introducing 64-bit components, we can ensure a higher level of performance and capacity for our customers," said Gerhard Angst, president and CEO of Concept Engineering. "Working with advanced operating systems, they need software technology that use those systems to their greatest potential. Our Nlview Widget enables software engineers to build EDA tools that can handle multi-million-gate designs in much less time, allowing them to focus on the most important aspect of their software project – the EDA application itself."

Nlview Widget comprises a family of schematic generation and viewing software components that can easily be put to work in the most popular GUI environments, including Java, Tcl/Tk, MFC and ActiveX. Using these customizable components, software teams are better able to speed through design cycles flexibly and reliably, for lower development and maintenance costs while adding higher product quality at the same time.

Current Nlview Widget customers on Concept Engineering's maintenance program can upgrade to the 64-bit version at no cost. For current pricing and availability to new customers, contact Concept Engineering at www.concept.de.
