Concept Engineering's Nlview® Schematic Visualization Engine to Power Aldec's ALINT-PRO-CDC™ CDC Verification Solution
Integration improves visualization from Aldec's fault analysis GUI cockpit and delivers higher quality designs
Freiburg, Germany – June 1, 2015 – Concept Engineering, specialists in visualization and debugging technology for electronic circuits and systems, and Aldec, a pioneer in mixed HDL language simulation and hardware-assisted verification solutions for system and ASIC designs, have signed a multi-year OEM agreement to integrate and use Concept Engineering's Nlview® customizable schematic generation engine as the visualization engine within Aldec's clock domain crossing analysis tool, ALINT-PRO-CDC™. The new ALINT-PRO-CDC fault analysis GUI cockpit allows design engineers to more easily understand and fix critical CDC problems and to deliver higher quality designs.
ALINT-PRO-CDC is a design verification solution that enables verification of clock domain crossings and handling of metastability issues in modern, complex, multi-clock designs. Nlview gives developers the ability to visually analyze circuit fragments with critical impact on design quality, accelerating end-product time to market at lower development costs with better product quality. The new debugging cockpit combines Nlview's easy-to-read schematic diagrams with Aldec's advanced analysis capabilities, allowing circuit designers to:
- See detailed schematics of violated circuit paths, design hierarchy, clock and reset logic;
- Efficiently analyze CDC issues;
- Easily cross-probe from schematic to the HDL source code;
- Quickly fix detected CDC problems.
"ALINT-PRO-CDC ensures that metastability issues are not overlooked during functional verification, which can lead to random design failures in the field," said Mirek Marciniszyn, Executive Director of Operations at Aldec. "Adding Nlview's visualization to our ability to uncover critical problems during RTL design and functional verification significantly cuts down time to market."
"ALDEC is a leading EDA company with a long history of innovations and a very big user community," said Gerhard Angst, CEO and president of Concept Engineering. "We are proud to help Aldec's customers more easily detect and solve clock domain crossing problems."
